Hot Year for Mobile Advertising in China

Leading brands in China leaped onto the mobile internet for the first time in the year 2006.
21 Communications enabled blue-chip clients in a variety of industries--from automobiles to FMCG--to their reach customers on the mobile media.

The results are in: advertising on mobile internet (also known as WAP) has proven to be an efficient and effective way to reach consumers. With nearly 100 million WAP users in China, advertisers are recognizing the power of mobile internet to reach an enormous consumer population.


BMW21 Communications launched an innovative campaign for BMW to promote the new 3 Series. The goal is to offer BMW video ads, mobile wallpapers and other branded mobile content downloads and to prompt customers to schedule test drives.


adidas21 Communications launched the adidas World Cup Mobile Portal for the China market, partnering with global agencies Minick and Inside. The adidas mobile site features adidas-branded World Cup images, audio and MTV-produced video content for download to mobile phones.


Johnson & Johnson Vision CareJohnson & Johnson Vision Care tapped
21 Communications to develop a mobile coupon campaign for its recent launch of 1.day ACUVUE® DEFINE™ - Vivid Style contact lenses. Consumers redeemed the m-coupon for free trials at participating stores and submitted their own photos via MMS to participate in a “most vivacious eyes” mobile picture voting contest.


Warner ChinaWarner China partnered with 21 Communications to launch a wireless portal to showcase the film "Jade Warrior". The mobile site, the first of its kind for the movie industry in China, offers consumers the opportunity to view video movie trailers and use "click-to-call" technology to easily contact local theaters.
